This machine's main benefit is its strong level of adaptability as a general-purpose testing system, creating allowing the user to perform tests such as CBR, Marshall, Triaxial, Flexural tests on concrete beams and tiles, Unconfined compression, Punching tests, and many more thanks to the possibility to setup a wide variety of accessories and software. The large machine for displacement and load-controlled tests is called the universal automatic flexural, compression, and tensile tester.
A handle wheel is used to manually move the the platen during calibration procedure so that the load can be maintained constant with good precision. This model is equipped with adjustable limit switches, mounted on one column. This facility can be used for the calibration of any load cell present in the laboratory and not only for the one supplied with the machine.
The frame of this model is made of two solid columns, and it is fitted with an upper crossbeam that can be adjusted in height according to the accessories being used. An ergonomic cabinet contains the load jack, DC motor, and controls, powered by the microprocessor. An alternative is to disable this feature and set a travel or time restriction in its place. The execution of tests with both displacement and load applications is reliable thanks to closed-loop control. For assessing displacement, it is not necessary to use an external transducer. Automatic sample failure detection ends the test.
The setting of speed/load and travel/load limits, data format download and graph settings, and saving of previously set test procedures are all possible through software user interface (up to 10 profiles can be saved in the internal memory of the machine). The touchscreen shows a real-time test graph and transducer data. With data storage onboard, the firmware enables the performance of up to four transducer calibrations (two load cells and two potentiometric linear transducers).
