Tenders Description & Specification for Specimen Leveller
Specimen Leveller
When viewing flat polished surfaces with an optical microscope, it is desirable that the image stays in focus as the specimen is traversed on the microscope stage. To achieve this, the polished surface must be made parallel to the glass slide. The specimen leveling press is used to fix standard metallographic mounts or irregular shaped polished samples onto glass slides using Plasticine or mounting wax
This provides a simple and perfect method for parallelism of the specimen surface perpendicular to the optical axis of the microscope surface can be carried out without frequent focusing.
The Press has unique wedge design helps specimen clamping, perfectly parallel to the grinding disc ensures uniform lapping/grinding. The Press method for ensuring that the metal surface is exactly perpendicular to the optical axis of the microscope.
